Looking Back (Author Commentary)
Here we have the encore act. Right after I finished my first screenplay, I was filled with tons of ideas. I took a handful of the first ideas I could wrap my fingers around, and mashed them together into this colossus. For those unfamiliar, in screenplay format, one page translates to roughly one minute of screen time, so this script here is some Endgame level ambition. Though, to be fair, my novel-writer's disease flared up pretty badly during the development process, so I'm sure this could be cut down to at least Infinity War levels of budget despair. I think it was when I saw the final page count that I began to think to myself, hm, maybe I should try writing a novel instead. Regarding the story itself, I had a lot of fun with it! It hits a lot of my favorite archetype and tropes, and I got to make a return to science fiction, one of my all-time favorite genres. Ultimately, it maybe hits a bit too many points, and trying to tie it all together was like trying to fit twelve clowns into a normal Camry.
